FAADL is accepting donations at our new location* at 265 Parkland Plaza during the following times:

 

 

Wednesdays-Saturdays: 10 am to 4pm

Sundays: 1 pm to 4 pm

Donations Suspended: December 25th through January 1st

 

Please note: We do not accept donations on Mondays and Tuesdays so December 22nd will be our last donation shift before January 2nd.

Donation Guidelines

 

If items you are donating do not follow the below guidelines, please be prepared that part or all of your donation will be rejected.

 

***Due to a recent influx of CD donations, we are suspending acceptance of CDs until further notice. Please visit this page for updates.***

 

FAADL accepts donations of gently used books and other materials in order to sell them and raise money for library programming. Therefore, please keep in mind that all donated materials must be in saleable condition. Review the below guidelines for more information on what we accept.

 

  

ALL DONATIONS MUST BE BAGGED OR BOXED IN CLEAN BAGS AND CARDBOARD BOXES ONLY (BAGS & BOXES WITH WATER DAMAGE, DEAD SPIDERS, MOUSE DROPPINGS, ETC. WILL BE IMMEDIATELY REJECTED)

 

WE DO NOT ACCEPT LOOSE ITEMS

 

WE DO NOT ACCEPT ITEMS BOXED IN PLASTIC BINS OR OTHER NON-RECYCLABLE CONTAINERS

 

WE DO NOT ACCEPT BOXES LARGER THAN 16 1/2" X 12 1/2" X 12 1/2" (ie: small moving box or banker box maximum)

 

BAGS MUST BE NO LARGER THAN STANDARD GROCERY SIZED BAGS

Recent fiction (published in last 15 years), history, political and social sciences, biography, memoir, cookbooks, psychology, self-help, nature, humor, sciences, performing arts

Children's books

Classics and collectibles

Books on gardening, crafts, home repair and improvement, art, architecture, animals, pets, poetry, philosophy

 

Travel books published in the past five years

 

Textbooks published in the past five years

 

Like-new greeting card envelopes and cellophane (NOT greeting cards)

DVDs in excellent condition

 

Rejected Items:

Water damaged or moldy books

 

Books that smell of smoke, mildew, or other unpleasant odors

Books with ripped or missing pages or covers

Books with broken spines or loose pages

Books with outdated information

 

Book collections with more than five volumes (ie: George Eliot's Works, etc.)

 

Travel books published more than five years ago

 

Textbooks published more than five years ago

 

Binders and office supplies

Incomplete puzzles and board games

Scratched or missing DVDs and CDs
