The FAADL has identified some exceptionally valuable donated books which, while more expensive than most books in our shop, are competitively priced for the wider marketplace.
Appointments to examine any of these titles must be made in advance for a time when the Friends Book Shop is open. From September to May the shop is open on Saturdays 10-4 and Sundays 1-4. In June and July we are open only Saturdays 10-4. Call the shop at 734-302-7774 to arrange an appointment.
Book condition fits generally accepted categories: Fine, near fine, very good, good, fair or poor. Payment for books purchased from the online list is not refundable unless the item is demonstrated to be not as described. As these books came from donated stock, it has not been possible to authenticate signatures or inscriptions.
Purchases made in person at the Friends Book Shop will receive a 10% discount. Those whose purchases require mailing will pay the full price of the book plus the costs for mailing at USPS priority rate plus insurance.
Payment: Local checks from Ann Arbor area banks with ID; bank or cashier's check; money order made out to "Friends of the Ann Arbor District Library." At this time we have no way to accept credit card payments.
