DROP OFF LOCATION AND HOURS:
Downtown Library, staff parking lot (off of William Street). Next to the UM Credit Union
HOURS: Donations can be dropped off during Downtown Library hours.
LARGE DONATIONS: Please call ahead – (734) 302- 7774 – to make arrangements.
DROP OFF SITE DIRECTIONS:
- Enter the Ann Arbor District Library Downtown staff lot off of William Street, next to the UM Credit Union.
- Pull to the back of the parking lot near the loading dock door.
- Ring the intercom buzzer at the door and tell the receptionist that you have books to donate. Donation bins are directly inside the door, to the right.
REMEMBER: Donations may be eligible for a tax deduction on federal income tax returns. If you wish to have a record of your donation please ask the receptionist for a tax receipt. It also includes a coupon for a free book at the Book Shop.
HINTS FOR DONATING TO THE FRIENDS BOOK SHOP:
We do need:
•Books published in the last 5 years
•CD’s, books on CD, DVD’s
•Textbooks less than 5 years old
•Jigsaw puzzles & games
DONATION PICK UP:
If you do not have transportation, have physical conditions which make it difficult for you to drop off donations, or have a large volume of book donations, Friends volunteers can arrange to pick up your donations. To arrange pick up:
Call 734-302-7774 and leave a message, clearly stating your name and telephone number.
The Book Shop Director will return your call, get the necessary details, and assess the situation.
